Crap! I just came in and saw this post. I knew that one too. Tony Karol. I think Mayes has too much lard as it is and should share the wealth.

I'll package my lard up in 6oz bottles and pass them around to whomever needs any :)

Dang, I thought I came up with a stumper for you Lance.
I give up (you should seriously consider banning Mayes from future contests ) I also forgot the Woolson factor -- when I sent it to you.

Okay Mayes give it up -- how did you get it so quick!Anthony Z38698.5271180556

I think the armrest design is a pretty good give away on that one. It is unique and different from the Laskin style rests that a number of builders do. It is also easier to build than the Laskin design. I was at Tony's shop 2 weeks ago and he explained the process to me. I can't wait to give it a try! (thanks again tony)

Yep, the fun never stops does it .. thanks Anthony for the idea, and th the folks who even know who I am !!!! I had even thought of staring one of these with one of my lesser seen (ie never been on the web !!) guitars to see if anyone would even guess just from the looks. I have been able to recognize a couple of the name this guy, but there is some really cool stuff out there for sure. Josh is right on my armrest ribrest treatments - I came up with something easier to do than Grit's, and to be a little different as well, because there are now a few guys doing them ala Grit. BTW, all of Grit's save one are done in opaque black, over a spanish cedar internal chunk. He told me he only ever veneered one to match binding, otherwise its always with ebony and black rest.

Well I could tell the picture (from the layout) was from 12fret.com so I went there and searched for an armrest guitar. I'd never heard of the builder before.

I on the other hand knew the answer from the armrest and shape of the cutaway. Didn't even have to look it up. Yeah, me.

I like a challenge -- Lance next time I'll come up something a little tougher. Darn, had I brought my digital with me this past Saturday nite I would have taken a picture of Tony playing someone else's guitar.
